Good gear

Monkeys love for cool gear is never-ending. I'm constantly trying to find a place that sells (at reasonable prices) high-speed stuff. If you have a kid like mine, you may want to check out a family run business I found called Hero Gear. They mostly support squadron fundraising, but anyone can purchase from them.


Monkey also thinks that Marcus is great, and Jeff is a creative genius.

A hiking we will go

So I'm trying to get out there and hike more, but it's tough. Apparently, a lot of people go out hiking on a beautiful, sunny Sunday afternoon. I ended up going from place-to-place because all the lots were full. Despite my frustrations, I was not disappointed when I tried a trail I caught site of on my way home one day. The view, stunning. Parking, lots!

Oh the boy is five. Yup, five years old. It's a new era for us, for me, really. Here's to another exciting five more years when the boy will be 10. oh. my. god.

the new year is here and i still don't exactly feel very organized. although it's refreshing to know that every 12 months, my slate is wiped clean, and i can try again!

There are days when I just love being at work. After five days of a sick kid with hand-foot-mouth, I'm elated to be here!

1. If I don't exercise, I go totally insane. I need to run a few times a week to prevent this from happening.
2. I like to drive really, really fast (without the kid, course). Forunately for me, my driving record doesn't indicate this love for speed, yet :-)
3. If I don't take a shower every morning, my day sucks!
4. Clothes shopping is not something I like to do. Shoes and handbags, I'm there! But clothes? Forget it!
5. I'm a nightowl. I stay up until 1-2AM regularly, and only get about 4-5 hours of sleep. Hmmm, maybe that's called something else. Hehe!
6. I get really bored very easily. I'm not one of those people that can do the same thing for 20 years. I thrive on change.
7. I never thought I would really truly love anyone until I had Monkey. He changed my life.

Ohhh yeaaaa baby!

So it has been a long time since I've posted something--this place has been keeping me busy!--but this evening, cowgirl and I went to the local market to grab a bite to eat and what did I see? Ohhh soooo hootttt Ryan Gosling on the latest cover of GQ. I grabbed it and bought it! I know, I know, he's not the typical hot, but he has that certain...je ne sais quoi that makes me melt!

I know, I'm late again. crazedparent is sitting next to me and just told me the Britney post is so yesterday, but I can't help myself. I must throw in my $0.02 cents!

So this morning I was on my way to work listening to eminem. While he may not be the ideal parent his words spoke to me, and I hope they will do the same for Britney. So come on now, sing it with me before you do another Oops!...I Did it Again!
